Re: reference book

I found an interesting toy at Kohls department store. It is called a
garden guru. Basically this is a database the size of a calculator that
has basic information on perennials, woodies, bulbs, annuals, vegetables,
etc. It retailed for sixty although was on sale for forty during
memorial day. While it does not describe plants very well it gives
information regarding culture, blooming characteristics, pruning, and others.
Perhaps if some of the more experienced gardeners on the list have seen
it they can address the accuracy of the information. The package said
some of the proceeds went to the missouri botanical garden but it did not
describe the sources of information.
Also you can key in the nearest major city to find your zone so it will
tailor the information to your specific area.
