There are so many outstanding varieties of Hosta on the market today everything from small ones that are suitable for very small containers to huge ones that have flower spikes to 5' plus and such a wide range of colors. One of my favorites is 'Gold Standard'. I have it in a ornamental planter on my deck, it adds great contrast with it's green margins and yellow centers. It adds light to a rather green spot on the container planting. With some care most Hosta plantings can be slug free. What about other Hosta nuts like me, what do you think about Hosta's Muddy --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@mallorn.com with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PERENNIALS What is the "care" you mention so that Hosta are "slugfree". I am stumped getting rid of slugs. Jean, Zone 7, Md
