Val
I'm beginning to get a little irratated with Springhill myself. This
year I've ordered the 7 poppies, all but 2 died also I ordered
anemone pamina and that hasn't come up (don't know if it's gonna or
not) they first made a mistake and sent me Hardy Cyclamen and I had to
call them. they told me to keep the Cyclamen and I ordered the
Kaleidoscope Hydrangea and it's looks really sick. don't know if
it's gonna make it after I potted it when it came in for a couple of
months.
the poppies were a bare root plant, so I felt sure they would do good.
I don't ususlly have good luck with ordering live plants. Now bulbs
are another story. they do fairly well for me.
I'm getting all bent out of shape , because now I've got to call them
and tell them about all of this. the thing is I've already placed an
order for fall on a collection of Poppies and dwarf day lilies. I'm
not worried about the day lilies, but the poppies.
I recieved a catalog from White Flower Farms just last week and looked
at their Poppies, I may cancel the order with Springhill and order 1 or
two from White Flower Farm. they are quite pricy, but my chance of
success would be worth it.
I have already bought several packs of Poppie seed for sewing this
fall. maybe I'll have some luck there.
you mentioned a seed co. Thompson & Morgan. do they have a web site?
if so can you sent the URL
Thanks
