I knew I was really being dumb! ;-)
BTW, what kind of marking pens do you use?
Sharpies, I believe, fade in the sun.
This summer, I tried a "Rub-a-dub" laundry marker.
I'm eager to see how it holds up.

Aren't any of you-all old enough to remember what our folks did B4 running
water and waste disposal systems? My mother was very insistent that we dumped
all the dishwater, bathwater, etc., systematically on the flower bed so it
would be evenly watered. Later, when we got a sink, the water ran out the
back of the house into the yard. The grass was real nice there but we were
careful not to run through it -- not pleasant on the bare feet is all I
remember.

I soaked mine for 2 days and they pulled apart real easy with no damage to
bulbs or roots. I kept 1 large bulblet with its babies together so had about
15 pieces which I planted in 2 large pots, placing them 2-3 inches apart.
After all the comments about their fragrance, I excited to see them get
started!! :-)
