I know, I know, wait until fall and after they've flowered. But, you
see, I can't.
My new neighbor has ant problems and her peonies are flush up against
the house. She's traced the ants to the peonies and she says take them
off her hands (which I'd love!) or she's going to toss them. They are
*run-of-the-mill* pink or white peonies, but I don't have any and would
love to add them to my yard.
They are not at full height yet, nor are they setting buds. They are in
semi-decent soil and I can get a largish root ball, should I proceed
with the transplant. Any special words of wisdom to get these beauties
safely growing in my yard?
Thanks in advance.
