Louise & Kathy
-5C is equal to 23F. There are formulae that I can never remember, but as a
rough guide,(for temperatures) 2x-5C = -10 + 32 = 22F. Had to phone my
daughter to get the exact number. Wish they gave plant heights in both cm &
inches. Here in Canada some are one way, others are the other, and a few
thankfully are both. Get tired of remembering to convert. Not to mention
cooking...
I really do have a perennial question...When we moved in here 3 years ago,
there was a row of double pink peonies across the back of our family room.
Bush 1 was tall & full, lots of buds and flowers, bush 2 a bit smaller with a
few buds , bush 3 & 4 smaller still with maybe one or two buds, and bush 5
was (is) a shortie with no buds. There is actually a bush 6 but its really
teenie. Just a gradual slope in size. I assumed that 2-5 were simply still
young, but they're all still about the same...healthy mind you. Do I have to
lift them and replant at a shallower depth or can I just scratch away the
soil? If I have to lift them, when should I do it? spring, fall? They are
blissfully ignored and seem happy otherwise.
Thanks
