I think the heat may have something to do with it and also we seem to always
get a bit of a drought time in July/August. We've gone three years straight
with absolutely no rain during those months. Houston which is 25 miles east
will get rain...we will see the clouds...we will hear the thunder but we do
not get the summer rain.
Marge - I also fertilize quite a bit in early fall. I have alot of fall
bloomers that I applyt a bloom booster regular after Labor Day. That may be
why. Mine actually give a prettier bloom for me in the fall. They look
great combined with the pinecone shrimp plant that is blooming right next to
it.
You know it's funny - my fall blooming Salvia madrens (sp) is blooming
now!!!!!
