Re: Kiringeshoma

Kiringeshoma never became a fad in the Cincinnati area and is scarcely known and generally unavailable, although I bought K. koreana and palmatum both at a local nursery a couple years ago. I've lost one of them and the other is barely kicking along.

I first saw this plant in the Boston area on a garden tour about five years ago; it was totally unknown to me before and I thought it a striking plant. I think siting it is the key to an effective display and I haven't found exactly the right spot for it yet, but wouldn't want to be without it.

Maybe it was a fad in your area, Claire?
