Short comment on this long evaluation.  I shop at several specialty nurseries 
in Western Mass.  They have greenhouses and many unusual and interesting 
plants.  I see license plates form Vermont and Ct. there when I pull in with 
my NY plate.  What I would mention is that both move into cut flowers after 
the June rush is over.  Both sell flowers, mostly annuals, grown in rows in 
fields for a customer to choose and cut himself.  On your way home any summer 
day, you can bring home with you large amounts of cut flowers not sold at 
florist shops.  Where else can you buy a big bunch of zinnias?  Just an idea 
that seems to be catching on around here.  I saw women cutting huge lots of 
larkspur one day to do a DIY wedding.
