Chris,

I grow mine in full sun in a clay soil that has been amended about
1:1 composted pine bark with a little coarse sand added.  I generally
try to remember to hit it with a blossom-booster fertilizer in late
May or early June.  I don't know whether this helps or not, but it 
does seem to work on my indoor plants.
