Re: Overwintering annuals


Interesting, Kemberly.  I used some in a table centerpiece bouquet a
month or so ago, along with assorted Coleus and some other
interesting leaves and they rooted.  Been trying to decide whether to
pot them up.  May just keep them in water for winter and see what
happens on the kitchen counter in front of a window.

I have absolutely lousy luck trying to overwinter coleus.  In the
house, it gets bugs and the greenhouse is simply too cold for it - it
does not like cold at all.  Had a lovely bright lemon yellow one
self-seed around from last year.  Popped up in paving cracks and a
pot of something that died....am thinking to try to save seed from it
this year.
