Re: Favorite Spring Perennials


Gene, I can't say that I have run across any hepaticas for sale on the 
various plant catalogues I get here in Canada, but I do see them mentioned 
in British gardening books, where they seem to be fairly popular.  Are they 
hard to grow?  I have no intention of digging up any wild plants and moving 
them, but if they are getting popular in the US sooner or later they will 
turn up at the bigger nurseries and garden centers here (used to be you 
couldn't find a hellebore to save your life and now it seems everyone has 
them. No doubt hepaticas will do the same thing.).
