It could be that my soil isn't loose enough or doesn't have enough organic
matter.  What bugs me most is that I've never gotten blooms out of them.
I only get two or three scrawny leaves.

When they come up next spring I'll dig them up and amend the soil
considerably if they still look skimpy.

I'm veering off-topic here, but isn't that the way it always is with new
beds?  It seems that I'm usually about a season later than I expected.  :)
