Re: Cimicifuga

Hello Chris,
I have not tried C. mairei as yet. C. rubifolia has recently been
rediscovered in local populations here in my county of Indiana. I have been
promised seeds, but not heard form the powers that be on this one. You
inquiring has served as a reminder to me to call and make an inquiry before
the seeds disappear for another year. The wildflower guide I have list the
c. rubifolia as growing in moist places. I intend to check with the local
naturalist and add his observations and opinions to future plantings in my
garden.
Since rubifolia is a local native I would think no problems with it
doing well in your garden.
