Re: annuals in a perennial bed

I like filling annuals with perennials in any spots that I feel are too 
bare.  I like a full looking bed.  I have hostas, forsythia bushes, 
silver mound (artemisia) festuca and ferns all in the same bed.  I 
intersperse coleus and red salvia for some color here are there.  Next 
year I want to put in some New Guinea Impatiens.
