Isn't Sevin an insecticide or fungicide or something? If so, I don't see
how it would be successful in killing anything other than by its high
toxicity level that you probably don't want in your garden.
Sevin is also very bad for bees and can kill whole hives when used according
to directions so imagine what it could do full strength.
I'm wondering if you meant Roundup instead. That can be used to kill really
nasty things the way you described (full strength on cut stems) and is not
soil active.
Am I confused on my products?
