Hydrangeas

Anyone have any experience with hydrangeas in containers?  Should they be kept outdoors or in?  If inside, what type of sun exposure should they have?  Use regular potting soil?  I have two that I have fallen in love with and I will be moving before winter sets in.  I would like to take them with me.
