I cannot remember exactly when and where I bought my Tricyrtis, but for several years
had it under the oak trees shade facing east. It did fairly well there, but was too
far away from the house to enjoy the bloom so I moved it next to the deck - facing
west in shade most of the day. It has done better - moister soil I think. It is just
the common T. hirta, but is making a nice sized clump of stems. Flowers like
miniature orchids - love it.
