Does anyone know anything about the Giant Growers Association? I got a
brochure saying that they are having a weighoff at the North Carolina State
Farmers Market on September 13, 1997 and are giving away $35,000 in prizes
for pumpkins, watermelons, tomatoes, gourds and sunflowers. First prize for a
giant watermelon is $5000, pumpkin $5000, tomato $2000, cantelope $2000,
gourd $500 and sunflower $400. I have never heard of these guys. They are
located in Raleigh, N.C. They must not be affiliated with anyone because of
their weigh-off date.
