If I remember correctly now Chris Andersen had only dreamt about putting
those heating blankets on his patch!

May I remind growers that mixing electricity and water can dramatically
 shorten your growing season.

Chris is actually having a difficult time with his wet soil and getting
it tilled for the seasons beginning. My suggestion to him was to
concentrate on the growing hill, maybe 12 sq ft or so. Cover this area
with a cheap tent and dry it out . By the time your plant is growing out
of this area the weather should be that you could till the rest
 properly.

Do any experienced growers out there have creative solutions to this
 problem?

Chris is gone for the week on business but I am sure he will check back
 for your solutions by friday.

My Garden is on a plateau so I don't have this problem. I have seen people
dig a ditch around the garden to help drain the soil and make it like a large
raised bed.
