well I am a newbie myself ......but if that is all the
bigger they are getting they are not being pollianted
would be my guess. You will need to hand pollinate.
Now the leaves dying at the base is a problem as well
could be insect or wilt ? did they turn colors? start
on the outer edge and move in ? It should be taking
over the area you have; my plants loook like some
science experiment gone wrong, have to have an
experienced pumpkineer answer that one. Hope I helped
a little and someone else can help you answer the
