Used Mama Haberman's borax cure on a soft/weeping area on the crown of my
1596x1395 Wallace cross.  3 days later, all seems to be well--no soft or wet
spots, borax is dry as a bone.

I promise to repay you for sharing that tip after the season is over.

Last year the "cure" saved a stem from rotting right off the fruit.  I had
nothing to lose, so I salted borax all over the wet parts and saved my baby.
