Moose Food
by Pumpkin Flower
There is a girl named Gail Ballou
She worked real hard like me and you
To grow a giant pumpkin fruit
And come home with the weigh off loot
A difficult task in Alaska
She'll tell you so, if you just ask 'er
There came a day when things grew faster
Then there came a great disaster
As she went to check her crop
What did she see ? Her eyes did POP
There were hoof prints on the ground
That in a path went round and round
It's end was at her little patch
The names she screamed I could not match
And to her horror it was gone
Her beauty eaten on the lawn
A MOOSE it seems had wandered in
And what he'd done it was a sin
Oh yes he'd chosen, chosen well
Her best was gone, she wrote to tell
I do not think there is a spray
No trick, no method, 'sept to pray
To solve a hungry moosey feast
To quell the on slot of this beast
No "Have A Heart" is big enough
To shot him dead just seems to tuff
In closing I just have to say
My sympathies are sent today
If I could choose a way to crash
If crash I had to in the last
At least to lose to something big
Is better than say to a pig
Or to a mouse, or bug , or mold
Upon that thought I hope you'll hold
