A tarp is important for safety reasons-yours,the helpers(carriers),the
efficiency of the weighoff.A large pumpkin dropped accidentally on a scale
platform can/will screw up the scale...how do you explain that to the 25+
people who are anxiously awaiting the final results of a year's worth of
work?Sorry folks-scales broken...
You don't have to buy his tarp.....others sell them for pumpkins,some
gurney tarps can work too...It should have handles and be strong enough to do
the job.
The organized and santioned pumpkin weighoff sites offer a measure of
"official-ness"-I know that a pumpkin that was official from the GPC or WPC
or Reputable Independents was in decent shape w/o the possibility of
exaggeration or foriegn substances inside the cavity.It puts everybody on a
level playing field.
You don't have to go to an official site.....but I might ask you to prove
it !.........G
