Re: rotted vines


Randy,

This happened to me the first year or so. I suspected over watering but was
never really sure.
How does the rest of the plant look ?  Is their a white cottony growth on
the leaves or fruit ?  If so, Im thinking possibly Sclerotinia  Stem Rot. (
soil fungus ).
Is the stem exposed to direct sunlight without shade from existing leaves ?
Are you watering heavily and then going for a long period of time letting
the sun bake the stem ? Have you grown anything in that area before ?

Just a few thoughts,  Give us some more details about your watering, sun
and plant health and maybe someone out here can help.
