Well this edition is centered around construction of site number eight. Today
I began work on what could be an impossible task. In the center of my new
site sits the stump of a huge second growth fir tree. The stump is over 8
feet in diameter, and looks really, really heavy. I have looked into dynamite,
but couldn't get the permits, Thought of large backhoe, but that would destroy
the sprinkler system in site #7. Burn it out?, nope don't want all that
charcoal affecting the soil. I looked at my shovel and thought to myself
"Self, do you really want to do this?" Then I answered "You know you want to
plant that one last seed" and by brief psychotic self argument was over and I
started digging.
Soil samples are to be taken within the week to conclude my study on what
caused my pumpkins to weigh so heavy for their size. If the secret is solved
I'll let everyone know........maybe. LOL
Take Care,
The Pumpkinguru
