I have also reviewed the requirements for obtaining a restricted use license
here on Long Island  New York and it goes something like this : a 275-325
dollar 30 hour course followed by a 10 dollar core exam fee for the test you
have to pass on general safety and pesticide use standards followed by a 15
dollar fee for the catagory exam you have to pass (ie=ornamentals and
turf,aquatics,lead abatement,etc...).....and then you get to purchase 300
dollar a gallon pesticides. As a commercial certified technician you are now
subject to strict laws enforced by the DEC,EPA,and DOT. And then there's the
48 hour nieghbor notification laws............remember...pesticides can be
very dangerous to yourself,your family,etc...and harmfull to the very
environment that sustains you.......follow the label !.....G
