Re: Side vine theory


Hello.  It is very common for the young pumpkins to abort.   A few reason
are incomplete or poor pollination,  a high temperature,  a fast growing
plant,  especially if you have fertilized around the time of pollination.
At the early stage the plant has only one thing in mind and that is massive
vine growth.  Mother nature will take over and the plant will down shift
turning to fruit production.  These are my observations.
