I have the best looking vines I've ever had this year. Things are
really looking good. I know I was singing the blues a month ago, but
have made it through the rainy weather. I have a few questions that
deal with the plant after fruit set.
Do you bury the vines on both sides of the pumpkin once you have
selected a fruit?
Do you prune any side vines and bury them before fruit set?
I have pollinated a couple of pumpkins and am not sure if they have
recepted yet. Do I need to change my feeding program from 15-30-15 to
15-10-30 or wait till I know I have fruit set?
We have been have thunderstorms every two or three day. I have been
following each storm with fungicide spraying, alternating with Bravo and
Manzate 200. Can I over do the fungicides?
When should I consider shading the pumpkin to protect it from the hot
sun and temps we have in the South?
Any response is greatly appreciated.
