Re:Ground hog devastation


My patch is also being consumed by a groundhog this year.  It has 
quickly moved up to slot#1 on my list of damaging pests.  Deterrents, 
both scented and electronic, don't seem to work. It avoids the have-a-
heart trap no matter what bait I use.  I can't find the borrow, so 
poisons/smoke bombs are useless.  A .22 would is not much good as he is 
very elusive and has been spotted only once in the past week.  This 
weekend I'm trying the buried fence approach.  At the very least it 
should slow him down a little.
