Howdy Howdy,
Well the babies are going to town, so here is the lowdown.
Site #1 #875 Lloyd is still a dog, but is trying desperately hard to not get
yanked. It now has a main runner pointing up and the leaves are getting
bigger. The #876.5 Lloyd is two weeks behind, but is gaining rapidly. I am
thinking about doing the double christmas tree thing in this site as well
bring the experiment to 3 sites. I am not sure yet how it will go down.
Site #2 #697 Ciliberto is now doing very well, as is the #615 Wilson.
Interesting.
Site #3 #825 Shymanski is kickin and taking now. It is in 4th place and
gaining on 3rd. So far it has the biggest leaf at 23" across. Main is 3'6"
long and headed southwest.
Site #4 #827 Holland is recovering from the storm two weeks ago, so is still
in mending mode. I am just happy the poor thing lived. Main Runner is 3'
long.
Site #5 #567.5 Mombert is looking very nice with large dark green leaves and
a 3' runner and a 1' secondary main.
Site #6 #627.5 Hester is now the largest plant in the patch with a 4' main
runner, with 2 six inch secondaries already. The main runner near the base is
2"+ in diameter. On its tail is the #469. It also has a 4' runner, but isn't
quite as bulky as the #627.5.
In the past 4 days we have had nice weather and its shows as the plants have
really responded. No word from the other NW heavy hitters.
Take Care,
Brett The Pumpkinguru
