RE: virus (computer)

I spoke to Mcafee tech, Ahn, yesterday and they have updated DAT files for
the new worm.zip virus for those of you with McAfee. . They can be found at
the McAfee site or FTP. location. And to reiterate absolutely never open an
unknown file!

In a message dated 99-06-16 13:43:13 EDT, you write:

DON'T run it. There are tons of viruses and trojans. NEVER run an EXE file
or
open a DOC file, since these are where they usually are. Who sent you the
attachment, and what was their reason for it? If you don't know the person
that sent it, or if you know the person, but they never mentioned that they
were attaching a file to the message, it is 99% that there is a virus or
trojan embedded in it.
Don't download the file, but you can forward it over to me by forwarding
the
email if you want (to: SteveS012@aol.com) and I can check it out.
Personally,
I suspect a file named ssag 0404.EXE would probably be a virus.
