Re: Peat Pots V Plastic

I have used ice cream containers with the bottoms cut out for the last three
years and it works great. Just fill the container's with a quality seed
starting mix and lightly spray with water. I then loosen the soil with a pen
and plant the seed pointed end down. After that I place a shopping bag over
it to help keep it moist and place them onto an old waterbed heater set at
90%. Last year I lost a plant when I was in a hurry and bumped the doorway
as I was setting them outside to harden off. The lid popped off so fast it
was on my boot and kicked half way across my back yard before I even new
what happened. I plan to add a little good old duct tape to the bottom
lid's this year.
