Oregon Update

Welp, here it is again. The latest edition to the continuing saga of ......
the Oregon update!!!!!!!!! The plants are now 3 weeks from seed filing and
all is well in the pumpkin patch, which in itself is scary. I like, or rather
have gotten used to always having a problem or 14 going on. The weather has
been cool the past couple days, but only the squash in the open air has showed
any signs of diminished vigor. enough of the generic info, here is the plant
update.
Site #1 The #875 Lloyd & the #876.5 Lloyd. Yes its true, I have added a
backup to the spot. I am unsatisfied with the growth of the 875. I will now
have a growoff between the two seedlings and will cull the loser out when they
begin competing for space. I don't think it makes much difference, those
Lloyd seed all seem to be pretty good.
Site #2 The #697 Ciliberto and the #615 Wilson. Slugs took out the first
true leaf and bud of the second, and it looked like the #697 wasn't going to
pull through, so I started a #615. Now the 697 has exploded on the scene and
I have two beautiful plants. This will be a tough choice.
Site #3 The #825 Shymansky. This plant has passed the #827 in terms of
overall size now, taking over the third best status. I still have a feeling
about this one.
Site #4 The #827 Holland. Still plugging along in great shape, and looks
great.
Site #5 The #567.5 Mombert. Even know I have had bad luck so far with this
plant, it is still alive and growing well. It is now keeping up with everyone
else.
Site #6 The #627.5 Hester and the #469 Hester. The 627 is now solidly in
second place and is begining to set up its main runner. This will be
interesting, for right next to it is the #1 plant in the patch, the 469. That
plant is still pulling away. Stem size, number of leaves, height, you name
it, its leading the pack. If I had any clue before I planted this baby, I
would have got its own site to itself and tested the double christmas tree
pattern in another site.
Stay tuned for more exciting episodes.
