Their is a group of about 250 people on a mailing list who are all trying to learn how to grow a large pumpkin. They even belong to clubs and create homepages on
growing large pumpkins.
One pumpkin vine created over 2000 lbs of pumpkins
People get paid up to 20K for the largest pumpkin.
Pumpkin boat race in NY Park.
Search the archives for the same subject. I think it was about fanatics on growing pumpkins. Look in 97. It mentioned what people do to grow large pumpkins.
