Looking at your list of examples, it seems that a outcross is required re second generation
to get to the big one in most cases. Selfed not that great, next generation with outcross real
good, following generation throwing real well. Correct me if I'm wrong. See I said we will all learn
from this discussion.

believe it hurts size & is this not what we are hunting for in this sport. How many
selfed has grown big ones.?????

There are many examples out there that prove that selfing has and does work (size, shape AND color). Here are a few examples that prove it. This info was taken from the AGGC database and contains only 900+ fruit that grew from a selfed seed.
