Sorry, but the disease was never diagnosed. I talked to a grower who had it
a few years ago, but has grown pumpkins since without any problems.
Pictures looked identical to what I had. This makes me think that perhaps
it's a fungus, perhaps related to the high temps/humidity I had this year?
In addition, my other two plants were not affected, and this plant was
between them! I'd like to know more about it too.
