I hope I did not make it sound like my mom was excusing what the kids did, though I
agree, if she doesn't send papers out to everyone in the neighborhood warning them
and try to help figure out who did it, she is somewhat "excusing" it. She planned
out everything that she was going to do and then this morning just felt so hopeless.
She is having a very hard time right now with her health, her family's health and
more... so I asked her if I could do it for her. She might give in if I press her
enough, but I certainly don't want my mom to suffer. I just wanted to make sure that
you understood that neither my mom nor I felt that it was okay or "just teenagers
doing what they do"... I totally agree with everything you said and will try to find
a way to do something; I know sometimes kids just don't think about things before
they do them, and if someone lets them know how it affected others maybe they will
rethink and change their behavior (at least the ones with a conscience--the others
might require more than just a lecture).
