Circleville, Ohio Weighoff?!
Hey, in OHIO magazine they had a BIG article about the weighoff in
Circleville, Ohio.
You guys are already acting like the weighoffs are over, the Circleville one
doesn't happen until the 23rd or so! This is the one that I would be able to
go to!
The fact that it is later give me a better chance!!!! So I hope it counts!
What organization does the Circleville weighoff? If I get my pumpkins big
enough by then, I will certainly try to go!
The article says that the RECORD pumpkin for it was only UNDER 700 pounds!!!!
Is this for real?! Dang, that certainly would lower the curve for me! Here I
thought I would be laughed at at a big weighoff if I had anything under 900
pounds!
They had the GPC weighoff at Erie Orchards near here this last Saturday,
(although no one mentioned it on th elist or on any web pages). Last year the
biggest was 800 pounds, this year it was just under 600, I think. We were
gone Saturday, but when we went Sunday, in the rain, the last pumpkin was
hauled off an hour earlier, so we never saw one.
Since Erie Orchards had an 800 pounder last year leads me to believe that the
under 700 "record" for Circleville must be a mistake! Isn't Circleville a
rather BIG weighoff?
Also, is anyone else going to Circleville?! Or have any other information
about it?
It IS an official weighoff site, right?!
