Re: Seeds Wanted!!!

Glenn,

Well said. I have been reading this list for three years and rarely do you hear of
someone selling their seeds. The tradition of sharing and trading seeds goes back
to the days when Mr. Dill would share seeds with his neighbors and friends. It is
a good thing that should be continued and protected.
Another thing that came to mind while reading recent posts is the importance of
good record keeping. As new growers come into the hobby and heavy hitters pass the
torch, all should be taught and reminded that careful attention to recording and
reporting of pumpkin lineage and attributes is of the utmost importance.
Accurately labeling and sharing seeds under any given name and weight is a matter
of honor among growers. Individuals should not take lightly the trust of theirs
peers.
Just as information and growing techniques are shared forthright so should the
continued tradition of seed sharing and it would be a sad day indeed when men and
women lose their sense of honor.
