Zone 10? I haven't the slightest notion. Perhaps they've been sunburned
from too rapid exposure to the sun? I've had miserable luck with I.
tricolor 'Heavenly Blue' when transplanting. I started sprouting the seeds
indoors, and planting the sprouted seeds where they are to grow, and this
seems to work much better.
