Rob,
I did get the list. Thanks. But I then went on a long road trip, and am
actually doing this from San Francisco (ACS meetings), not State College.

You're welcome. It is such a relief to be able to use what I know. I left
the seed industry 8 years ago, and although I am happy doing what I am
doing, I still have an intense love for gardening and plant breeding.

I will post an nbreeding / outbreeding discussion to Tom Clothier's web
site. Basically an expansion of the F1 discussion. Mostly responses to
Tom's FAQs, and a good resource to get out there. I know what he's going
through. I did something similar by snail mail for the Seed Savers back in
the early 80's. The posted FAQ route makes so much more sense.

I hope that it is clear that I am a very strong proponent of salvaging
biodiversity and home-gardener seed saving. It's just that the
save-the-world hype gets it wrong most of the time!

No complaints about busy. I manage a contract research analytical
chemistry lab of about 60 people. Keeping them productive and fed keeps me
quite busy! The garden is my way to unwind, and this dialogue falls into
that category.
I am collecting Physostegia species for inclusion in a breeding project.
Have any?
