I've had success propagating a heuchera that way, I had a bit of H.
'Snowstorm'
which fell apart in my hand so I took each leaf with petiole and struck it in
soilless mix, and voila, a tiny plant appeared at base of each petiole. It
occurred to me that the petiole base which was flattened and pale, may act
like a basal plate in a bulb. Since H. 'Snowstorm' is mostly white with
countless tiny green dots, it would be a slow one to propagate but by this
method, it didn't seem to matter much. Joanne
