Re: Peat Bales


That's what I've done.  Mix it in a tub and let it sit.  Break up the
chunks after they are in a tub for faster soaking.  I'm trying to avoid
peat in so far as is possible these days, for the simple reason that it
seems to promote some types of pests (annoying little flies, fungus gnats?)
on my plants.  Coir is more epensive, but also more enviromental friendly,
or so the claim is made.
