Ferns and Jacobina

My dh has several ferns that have been neglected for quite a while and I have 
spent a considerable time cleaning out the dead stuff and repotting them.  
How do ferns propagate?  (I think this is a common Boston Fern)  

Also, I have a Jacobina that is very pretty and I would love to have more.  I 
can't find any info online or in any of my gardening books on this plant.  It 
is blooming right now so I need to know about seed collecting or other 
propagation methods.
