RE: Papaya

From what I hear, Papaya only grow from seed (i.e. not grown very well
from cuttings-grafting) I set them out to dry after getting them from
the fruit. This is so I have a higher percentage of plants from seed.
You can just throw a papaya on the ground and you may get a plant or two
from that, but you have thrown down about 50-60 seeds to get that one
plant.

I am planting seeds from:

1. seed packet from Hawaii (Kmart) that has Solo Papaya's. They have
sprouted.

2. Seed from Solo Papaya fruit. Have not sprouted yet, 10 seeds
planted, but it is not yet been time, one more week and they will be
late

3. Seed from Mexican Papya (BIG ONE-5 pounds!) Have not sprouted yet, 10
seeds planted, have about a week and a half to go before they are late.
