Hi all,
I just moved our lone gentian, a hybrid from Gene Bush that is in full
bloom just now, to the edge of the woodland garden. It has been growing in
a raised bed on the north side of the house, right by our front door. This
area is being taken over by some large ferns. My wife wondered if it would
grow in our rock garden, in full sun. Are there any gentians that would
take exposure in a rock garden? The rocks are limestone from southern
Indiana, and the soil is limy and sandy riverbottom (lots of dead snail
shells in it).
