Conifers

 Hi All,
     I have a question about some conifers.  I got them for next to nothing, but would like very much for them to survive.  The conifers in question are Chamaecyparis lawsonii "Elwoodii',  Cham. law. 'Snow White' and Boulevard cypress.  We live in zone 5 about 40 miles south of Chicago. How and where do I plant them for the best results?
