Purchase a good wildflower reference book / identification guide for your
area...then check to see if there is a wildflower society for Nova Scotia.
I watched our woods (Indianapolis, Indiana) for a season or two before
doing anything....if there has been much animal traffic in the woods it may
take a few years for the wildflowers to recover. If there is a wildflower
society it might do as we do and sell native plants that have been rescued
from developers at an annual plant sale.
