Tim,
  Thanks for the response. I had forgotten about Trollius,I think I will try
it. As far as the Primrose,well, I have had a real battle with agresive plants
I don't think I want to try that one. The last owner of our house put
mint,dillweed and snow-on-the-mountain
in the main garden! What a mess!
